If you enjoy spending 1 and a half hours queuing for a ride give it a go! We drove from Essex 3 years ago and went on 4 rides in the whole day- it was mid August. Never again!!

Ah, good point. We've been to Lego Land in term time and it was quite enjoyable, so that's maybe what we should do.

So, worthwhile apart from the queueing? What's the Thomas bit like?

It'll be brill for the 6-yr old & the older 2 can go around Drayton Manor itself which is also great (assuming you're happy for them to do this otherwise they'll be bored in ThomasLand).

My boys love ThomasLand so enjoy Grin

It's great for Thomas fans, my DS loved it. We went at Christmas time. Wrapped up DS in his snow suit, no queues as it was too cold and people were too badly dressed!

They had foam snow, it was cute.

Should say, August isn't normally too bad for a weekday but I'd avoid Saturdays.

The Thomas bit is great - the look on your Ds's face when he actually sees Thomas on the track is priceless Smile The rides are fab although they may be a little 'babyish' for your 6 year old - my DS1 last went just before he turned 5 and I think some of the rides were boring for him.

Never been in the summer hols so don't know how busy it is but I do know that last year in the May half-term, DS1 and DH queued for over an hour for the Ben 10 ride leaving me with DS2 asleep in a pushchair with nothing to do Angry And, even worse, the Ben 10 ride lasts literally a minute!!!

Only ever been in May, on a saturday, never queued for very long and the DS's LOVE IT!

We went 2 weeks ago it was fab (dd's 7, 5 and 3) There is loads of stuff to do and although we had the odd long wait we did loads of stuff and didn't leave until after 6.

We booked tickets on line as there was a really good reduction. Even thre 3 year old had a great time in the big park as she was tall enough for the roller coaster and other rides so DON't just stick to Thomas land (which was much more crowded and closed in than the rest of the park.

My girls loved the rapids ride and the flying dutchmen too.

We had a great day even though it was baking (not much shade).
