I'm flying to Sydney with my 2yo next April & gave found some good flights with Singapore Airlibes. Does anyone know if they charge for buggies. And if you can take them right up to the plane.

from singapore airlines website:

Infants are allowed 10kg of baggage. Additionally, a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair, carry-cot or car seat and infant food items may be checked in without charge

Yep, we took ours right up to the entrance of the plane and they put it in the hold as we stepped on the plane, it meant we could use it on the stopover which was invaluable. Singapore Airlines are brilliant, the staff make a big effort with kids... Lots of healthy snacks, toys, colouring books. I actually enjoyed the flight!

We flew with them last year (to Melbourne) and took our P&T to the gate both ways. We also got it back for the transit in Singapore although we didn't want it. We left it in the travel bag and put our smallest in the baby seat on the luggage trolley while the toddler walked.

They seemed to pile the buggies up for collection just as you get off the plane so you have them ASAP.

Once we got on the plane the service was fab, customer service before flying was a whole different story!
