October Half Term - Limited choice of destination ?

Am looking for a week starting 27th October but don't seem to get much choice, if any, through TO's websites. Specifically hope to go somewhere which in summer would be too hot and are all-year-round destinations with activities or sightseeing, such as Sorrento but even there many hotels seem to close by the end of October so not much availability. Is our half term particularly late this year or am I selecting the wrong criteria ?

What about Morocco? Trekking in the High Atlas is amazing and the weather should be good. Both Marrakech and Essaouira are fabulous destinations for shopping and sightseeing. Flights on EasyJet are quite cheap and the hotel Jnane Mogador just off the Djemma el Fnar is cheap and lovely - excellent budget option. They have a good website if you google them.

It is a week later than usual. I was booking some flights to Portugal for a friend of mine recently and having looked at several airlines I struggled to find a return flight for her. I manged though and she is on the last ever flight for the year.

We've gone for mark Warner in kos went last year at half term and weather was great - too cool for the pool but sea was nice. We are gambling and going again despite it being a bit later
