Anyone ever had to get a taxi at Valencia airport?

Flying to Valencia on Fri.

Just found out that (despite what their website says) the hotel we have booked for the night stops its shuttle service at 7pm in the evening - we are due to land at 8.30pm .

Anyone ever got a cab from Valencia - should we book something in advance or take a chance that cabs will be readily available.

There are always taxis at the front of the terminal building. Alternatively there is a metro, you could check to see if there is a stop near your hotel.
