Things to do with a toddler in Reading/ Berkshire

I'm going to visit my mum next week who lives east of Reading. Any ideas for things to do with a toddler around there?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Beale Park and Wellington Country Park are really lovely (but better on a dry day) and not too far away. At the Oracle shopping centre there is normally a 'beach' during the summer hols, I think it is there again this year.
