Hi Lisa
I was wondering if you could give me some advise. I went to the Bahia princess hotel in costa adeje last year and it was nice but I am looking for something similar but that has a decent gym. I looked at the anthelia hotel but it was over our budget £1200 per person, too expensive.

Also at the Bahia we didn't get the sun till around 12 noon which was. Bit of a pain too, we went in April.

Would really appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks in advance, forgot to say only myself and husband going as it is a special wedding anniversary

I used Lisa's services as a nanny a few years ago (excellent) and can highly recommend the Anthelia it is of a high standard. We had a ground floor interconnecting rooms with closed area and gate and it was perfect. It is expensive I booked all mine seperate and saved a future. The food was superb but evening meal was too expensive at £35 and wasted on the children who were 7months and 5 at the time and wasnt served until 7pm so too late and they were far too tired.

It is a 5 hotel and it is a proper 5 you can get cheaper but then its the standard you are paying for. Its flat and the location is fantastic.

I wouldnt go further down the coast but go further up or miss the bit in the middle and go Las Amercias was nice and buzzing - some great looking hotels down that area.

Suppose when in April due to school holidays, I would imagine there is a price hike in APril.

Try looking on Soverign holidays for the top notch hotels.

Thanks bacon for your advice, been on the sovereign hotel website but it's still really expensive, even though we are not taking the children we still need to go in school term time.

Was hoping to get a nice week in the sun in a nice hotel for around £800 per person h/b or all inclusive.

Thanks again

We booked the Anthelia through their website, and flights seperately which brought the cost down.

Try shopping around, lowcostholidays.com are usually good for bargains and get quidco too.

Anthelia was amazing btw... Kinda spoilt us for other holidays.

What about a royal Caribbean cruise?

Hi we have also stayed at the Anthelia and found it brilliant, booked through Sovereign but you could get cheaper booking directly - it might be worth phoning up Iberostar through their website to see if they can offer you anything cheaper than is showing.

As its just yourself and hubby you could also search for the Bahia Del Duque which is beside the Anthelia and looked absolutely gorgeous. I managed to get a really good deal for HB there but in the end decided not to go as it would have been a double room for the three of us - try searching through lowcostholidays.com or some of the other search engines. It might be more expensive than the Anthelia though.

When are you going? If its not for a while it may be worth booking the flights now and seeing if any special offers pop up for last minute hotel bookings as if its not school holidays time the hotels may struggle to fill rooms.
