Sorry have posted in AIBU but thought you MNers here might have some experience of this.
Has anyone ever extended a 7 night package holiday to 10 days once in the resort.
We are AI in Ibiza. My DP things it's possible but I think he's crazy!

You would have to pay the hotel direct for the extra 3 nights and find, book and pay for new flights home. Why not do this before you go rather than wait until you get there? It would be much cheaper.

Thanks KM. Just assumed it wouldn't be possible as 10 days not available when we originally booked.

10 days not available with your tour operator as they presumably only operate weekly flights. You would need to find flights with someone who DOES fly when you want to come home. If you email the hotel you will be able to extend your stay if they have room. You are in effect booking a seperate 3 day stay from your original package.
It will be expensive though. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Urm....does sound very expensive. Will have a quick look but think it may be beyond us. Amazing....the first time DP has shown any interest in the holiday and its at the 11th hour! We leave on Sunday....

Think a flight at this short notice is going to be super expensive if you want a return but as you only need a single you may be in luck. However it may be cheaper to book a single in the country you are in once there. Some countries have much cheaper flights than ours.
Check the non schedule sites -skyscanner, kayak etc to find out if tour operators have any flights coming back with space.
Look at easyjet and cheap carriers for one way flights.

Thanks NGCS. Have just found a flight with our original airline for 71 euros on a wed but it won't give me details for 22nd, only 15th so presume 22nd is full.
Will try your suggestions though.
