DS2 has an appt at Liverpool at 5.30pm today, & needs to know what time to arrange to meet someone after it

TIA Smile

Did you get a slot? If it's like the London office, you should be called to the counter within that time. Processing at the counter and queuing to pay will probably take you beyond the time of your slot, though, at least half an hour. If your DC has to get home for supper, I wouldn't have thought a meeting afterwards would be at all possible. Sorry.... Sad

yes, it's the processing time I was wondering about. his appt may take longer as his old one was stolen in Germany, so he's got a lost/stolen report form for them to look at as well (he completed one at the consulate but the passport office may not have a copy yet), & a police report (in German Confused), & was advised to take his long birth cert too just in case.

maybe an hour altogether then?

the meeting is social, not business, so no worries there

thanks, plutocrap Smile

I was in with DD for longer, I think, as we were called at the end of the slot (maybe beyond; I was also wrangling 4yo DC1) and the paying seemed to take ages, too. This was a different office to uours, but still it's probably better not to make that social arrngement afterwards, sorry! It could save you a lot of stress, not being late for it! Smile

Good luck!

oh I don't know about slots - he was just told 5.30 - do they give several people the same time? I thought it was an actual appointment.

I've never been to a Passport Office, must be tedious enough just for an adult without having to deal with small children too, I bet you were glad to escape Grin

I've just realised he's older than I thought, so bedtime not such an issue! However, probably an hour's the minimum. Sorry I can't be more helpful about Liverpool; it doesn't sound as though the Lonfon setup is the same.

Good luck!

believe it or not, he was only in for about 5 minutes Shock - he rang me at 5.40 to say he was off out!!!

so now he's having a lovely time in the evening sun in Liverpool Grin

Hahaha, how crap was my advice?! I'm very sorry: hope he manages to have fun despite not having made plans!

noooo, that's ok, plutocrap, I was expecting it to be at least that long too!

& thanks for replying in the first place Thanks
