Tallington Lakes in Lincolnshire anybody?

Think I might have made a boo boo. Just booked a lodge there for three nights end of Aug, reading very mixed reviews. What else is there to do around that area please?

I'm from Lincolnshire let me do a recce on the map!

Burghley House Loads to do here!

Don't know about the site you're on but the town of Stamford is close by & very pretty.

Thanks Bossy...........I looked up Burghley last night and when I tried to book tickets it says its closed to the public the 31-2nd Sept, just the w/end we are there! We had a call from the owner at Tallington Lakes today to confirm that there is still building going on, thats what put us off. But there seems a lot to do, the lodges are very very nice so we will go with it. Its only 3 nights after all!
