First name is misspelt on booking. Will easyjet charge to change it?

I know I should ring Easyjet to find this info out but I just wondered if anyone else had any experience of this just so I'm prepared. It's obviously a typing error but if I try to change it online, it thinks I'm changing the name of the person and wants to charge me £35 per flight!

I managed to spell DS's name wrong on a booking for Ryanair a few years back. As far as I remember, I phoned them and got it changed. I expected it to cost loads but don't think they charged me anything.

Oh well that sounds promising, thanks for replying!

How did you get on?

I managed to have a typo on my surname for a BA flight. I called up customer services and they said they could reissue the ticket for £35 or I could just go with it. They advised me to allow more time to clear security and come equipped with the emails, etc.

As it turned out, it was no problem at all. I sailed through security, even though DH and I had very slightly different surnames.
