gatwick - airport hotel with a family room and parking

We need a family room, very early transfer to airport (4am) and don't want to pay a fortune. would prefer to leave car at hotel to save time. - did summer special with travel lodge last year and would prefer an easier option but don't want to pay more than about £130

anyone got any ideas or links?

We have just booked into the Hilton at Gatwick - it is in the south terminal so minimal transfer (although we are flying from the north terminal) - I think it was about £139 for parking for a week plus family room. We too have an early flight (6am).

The hotel in the north terminal was about half as much again - and I can't remember the name of it!

pashmina, we usually do www.holidayextras.co.uk when leaving from Gatwick.

The Hilton is so easy, you can walk to the airport thru the tunnel, plus you can also check in for your flight the night before. (you could when we were there last summer).

catgirl - who did you book through?

Holidayextras coming up much more expensive.

anyone got any good ideas? would prefer to park at a hotel and not use summer special, which takes too much time.

we are due to book premier travel inn at gatwick airport, nr north temrinal. on their own website they have £ for 1 night stay, 8 days parking, breakfast and transfers to terminal for 115.95. park and fly package.
thats the best price i've found for what we need. i phoned to clarify minor details; includes breakfast for whole family!

other prices i'd quoted for all this adds up to at least £130

this hotel sounded particularly good in terms of early b'fast, early transfers, by north terminal, family room, cot on request. great for us.

have a look at their website premiertravelinn.com

LIZS · 14/03/2006 12:57

We've stayed there before although it was a few years back. It is about as close as you can get to North terminal and the room accommodated 4 of us ok - dd was in a travel cot iirc.

We stayed in a lovely guest house last year - will see if I can find it. The family room was just what we needed for five of us with en-suite. Cost about £110 and we booked a very reliable local taxi as our flight was so early then the owner picked us up on our return to collect the car. It ended up being slightly cheaper than airport parking as we were going for two weeks.
