About to fly 2-leg evening/overnight 15 hour flight with 13 month old who has meltdowns when overtired. Any tips?

On sunday dh and I are flying with dd from heathrow to south America via Paris. We have 3 hour connection time in Paris. Flight from heathrow leaves early evening. Dd is v well behaved except when overtired when she turns into world's loudest screaming and flailing banshee. Her normal routine will clearly not be happening that night and I'm pretty sure she's going to get over stimulated and over tired.
Any tips would be most appreciated!

((whispers))... phenergan :) My DD did not travel well down to NZ at 7mths, it was hell for both of us poor baby, as the return flight loomed I was getting worried and brought a bottle still unsure if I'd use it. The first leg was ok but second leg was delayed after we had boarded so 12hrs became 14 and I cracked oped the bottle, it was the best thing EVER, for both of us. I had made the trip with DS when he was 2yrs and t was tricky but manageable but a distressed screamy unable to sleep for love or milk baby was hellish. ( disclaimer, it was a teeny dose as recommended by chemist).

((shouts))... PHENERGAN! My paediatrician in the US said I would be mad not to use it.... So I used it, it helps them sleep knocks them out

Thank you everyone! Annoyingly we lost internet access just before we flew. (It wasn't too bad but we made the mistake of not going to sleep the moment DD did and consequently only got about 2 hrs sleep ourselves). Will look out for phenergan for the way home.
