We've done Blackgang and Robin Hill, done the Zoo and Steam Railway.
Anywhere we can go with 3 kids aged 8, 7 and 4, preferably wheelchair accessable?

Thanks Grin

My dc loved Waltzing waters in Ryde. Think there is also a small amusement park in Ryde and also a train.

Is flamingo park still going?

gettingtogrips · 07/08/2012 22:56

Yes, although I think it's called Seaview wildlife park now. It has lots more than flamingos. We loved the penguins there.

gettingtogrips · 07/08/2012 23:12

Carisbrooke castle, Newport. It's pretty, has great history and has castle donkeys.

Dancergirl · 07/08/2012 23:13

Also Osborne House is fab.

Glitterknickaz · 07/08/2012 23:19

We're doing Osborne Christmas, otherwise that would be first on the list....
Might try Carisbrooke or Seaview, thanks Grin

Seaview is lovely. My kids fed the penguins by hand- amazing. Ducks a plenty, peacocks, pelicans, nice cafe and gift shop.. marvellous.

shanklin is lovely - rides, slopes to sand, pub on beachfront

ColourMeWithChaos · 11/08/2012 22:58

Owl and Monkey Haven!

I know it sounds a bit crazy, and it is, but my kids loved it and if I remember rightly has good wheelchair access

LunarRose · 15/08/2012 21:01

Ventnor botanical garden. good wheelchair access, free and playpark attached. My favourite day out from our isle of wight holiday

LunarRose · 15/08/2012 21:04

shanklin is lovely (esp. in the evening) but limited wheelchair wise

LunarRose · 15/08/2012 21:04

sorry meant to say shanklin chine Blush

Lucyellensmum99 · 15/08/2012 21:11

yes, loved ventnor botanical gardens, and i don't "do" gardens, this place is just gorgeous and really interesting. My favourite place too.

Cowes is nice, lovely promenade, nice shops.

Lucyellensmum99 · 15/08/2012 21:11

oh and if you walk to one end of it, there is a lovely children's play area.

Lucyellensmum99 · 15/08/2012 21:13

Couldn't really comprehend the whole waltzing waters thing, it is in what looks like a giant industrial unit, next to tescos and it was expensive - we didn't go in, it just seemed too contrived.

germyrabbit · 15/08/2012 21:18

amazon world is pretty cool, lots of exotic animals and you can walk through areas wih birds flying about etc. also walk with lemurs and good bat exhibit.

ventnor is good and has a paddling pool with a small isle of wight in it Grin

we did a ghost walk at appuldurcome house (think is thursday nights) very good fun though may be scary for smaller kids
