Good beach near Calais?

We are heading to Calais for a day trip on thurs (me and dds 4 and 18mths) with friends. We were looking to drive no more than 30 mins away and have access to a shop/supermarket for a French picnic.
Which beach would be good for kids to play on and to eat?
We looked at le toquet but it seems a bit far. Any recommendations?

All of the Cote d'Opale from Calais to Le Touquet has nice sandy beaches. Calais itself is fine, good playground near the beach, easy access to public toilets etc. Ditto for Boulogne beach near Nausicaa aquarium. There's a Match supermarket on the Place d'Armes in Calais. I don't know about Boulogne.

Wissant is a nicer town than Calais and Boulogne but harder to park. If you want something wilder, I'd recommend plage du Chatelet in Tardinghem but there are no facilities. Or you can go to Escalles at the foot of the Cap Blanc Nez. For Wissant and Escalles there are no shops so you'd have to get food in a bigger place first.
If you have a clear day, I would recommend going to either the Cap Blanc Nez or Gris Nez for a view across the channel. You can see the White Cliffs of Dover.
