please!

what companies should i look at for a week of winter sun - half term week in October? (so would be 27th Oct for one week)
this is theory only at the moment - it will probably be too expensive for us - probably would be me and DH and DD,
think DS will be at uni by then.

im tentatively looking but no idea where to start......

Cheaper to get the flights and accomodation separately.

The Canaries are a nice temperature in October alternatively Egypt and probably Turkey would be warm enough too.

I'd start off by doing a sky scanner search to see what flights are available from your airport and then take it from there.

Alternatively could just do a search through thomsons and check the reviews on tripadvisor

Cyprus is still warm then.

We went to Tavira in the Algarve at the end of October last year and the weather was fantastic (even managed to swim in the sea).

We booked flights with Ryan Air and booked a villa through Owners Direct - for 3 of us it came to just over £1000 including a weeks car hire (and we booked it with a week to go so I imagine we could have saved on the flights if we had booked earlier).

Flights to Faro are cheaper than the Canaries at this time of year and there are still lots of airlines flying there so you can get some good deals.

Tavira was amazing too - like a portugese venice !

FWIW we once had a fabulous holiday in southern Spain in October half term - weather was great, kids could swim in the sea every day, not too hot for sightseeing, plus we got to take them up for snowball fights in the Sierra Nevada Grin

accom should be reasonable, but flights may be v expensive as it's a school hol
