finding hotel accommodation for a family of five

how do you find reasonably priced accommodation for a family of 5? The teens would absolutely love to have their own room if we had to book two rooms but I would prefer to avoid that extra expense. Any tips????

Have you looked at Youth Hostels? They are much cheaper than hotels, but you can often get private rooms with en-suites, especially in cities.
