Leicester Days Out

Thought I'd start a new thread on things to do in Leicestershire, with kids/ for couple/ young people etc.

I recently took my kids to The Curve theatre to see Oliver! it was amazing, totally worth the money, kids loved it and kept them quiet for about 3 hours! Bliss!

Go see it.

Snibston discovery (science) museum is a real gem. We went there last year and had a fantastic day. Lots of the museum is interactive and even the play area are experiments. We loved the colliery tour by the ex miner and the ride on the train around the nature reserve. My 9 yr old DS was highly embarrasses by the science of underwear exhibition!!

Just wanted to post in case anyone was thinking of visiting that ths wonderful museum was closed by the local council and then flattened. It no longer exists.
