Do not go to this hotel near Disneyland Paris - they employ thieves

We took our girls to Disneyland Paris and stayed in Relais Spa Val d'Europe Chessy, a seemingly swanky 4* hotel (no idea how they got the stars as there was no concierge or spa for that matter!). On the 4th (ironically we prepaid for 4 days (meant to stay for 7) and when we got back our ipad, 2 blackberries and credit card was stolen, our passports were thumbed through and when I went down to the reception they said to come back the next day!!! I said no i want to see the manager now. They said it is late and they can't call the manager. They also said we didn't shut the door properly (it is a very heavy door which shuts very quickly!) I have to force them to call the police (I don't speak french) and they said go tomorrow as no english speaking french police at the moment (how did they know??).

Anyway the next day we saw the manager and she offered us ONE day's breakfast to compensate. What an insult!!! She offered an english speaking staff to accompany us to the police station and she made a show of how it is her first time there but when we got there, she was SO chatty and friendly to the front office desk staff at the police station. Coincidence? I think not!

We got back to the hotel (they, by now insist that they are called a residence, not a hotel!!) and I said to the manager how is she going to compensate us. She said she can't. I asked for a log list of people who entered our room and apart from us and the cleaner, there was a clear unauthorised entry when we were out and when I asked her who was it, she just shrugged and said she didn't know! At the end of it we just cut our holiday short and left to go home. The girls were so upset and my oldest started wetting her bed (she is 5) after!

Please do not waste your hard earned money and avoid this place like a plague. It became alot more aparent that they are operating as a syndicate who prey on families going to Disneyland. The policeman pretty much told us that such a thing is happening and even the Disney hotels are targetted. If any good can come out of it, it's to warn other families off this place!
