Desperately need a passport for DD there's no appointments?

long and short of it we couldn't get on our flight as her passport expires in under 6months the country we are travelling to is very strict about this apparently.
There are no appointments in the whole country I don't know what to do, I don't think we'll get to travel any time this week
Has anyone managed to get a premium one day service anywhere anyhow. We keep calling for cancellations but apparently people just don't turn up rather than cancel. I dont know what to do we are meant to be joining dh for the summer as he'll be abroad for work
Any advice on getting a passport recently it's just heaving at the moment Its like the whole county is running away!

Oh goodness. Can you change flight? How awful for you. I managed to change flight but I won't make it either. It's really tough.

Yes going to change flights so half the family leave with our there mum and baby brother how sad, no durham won't see u if u turn up

I had to do this last month when I stupidly didn't realise my son's passport had expired until 3 working days befoer he was due to fly I had a panicked thread on here at the time.

We managed to get a same day appointment at our preferred office in time by calling the helpline number every 30 minutes for days.

I was told like you that there were no appointments but kept trying until something came up. The first available was Belfast which I booked, but then kept calling to try to to get something more convenient.

I eventually managed to get Liverpool, then Newport by calling literally all the time and asking them to check again for me. It took 3 days of phoning but we managed it and he was able to fly.

A friend of mine also had a similar problem 2 weeks ago, although for a lost passport so more complicated.

They managed to get an appointment by calling all the time too

Can't do anything till we speak to Durham, any they r not answering or calling back .

And can't do anything cos all paperwork at durham

No one calls back. Keep phoning no my situation different I need a premium day appointment and can't get one. Lots of complaints about backlog in Durham there was another thread. Really hope you have some luck

I'm very stressed now. sent my two childrens applications off through check and send on the 17th july and still not received anything, we fly on Friday!!!!!!!

Does anyone have the correct telephone number for Durham please my 5 year old really won't understand why she has to stay at home with me and the baby while her big sister goes on holiday with her dad - I can see that is what is going to happen. This is a complete nightmare.
