My much loved and 3rd hand maclaran 'died' a couple of months ago. my daughter is 2 so i just opted for the cheapest/lightest umbrella buggy in argos thinking she'll be out of it in another year anyway. BIG REGRET as although its light, coz the wheels dont swivel it FEELS heavier when trying to push with one hand.....anyway, i was persevering but now we're planning a trip to london and i cant decide whether to invest in a new one. it'll be fine to take on train/tube as is light/compact to carry (along with 2 year old and 5 year old on my own)BUT it doesnt recline and although its not a prob at home coz she naps in her cot, it'll be no good for napping out and about (her head just dangles forwards bless her!) anyway, there a mammas and papas one in argos for £60 which reclines, swivel wheels etc. shall i just go for it OR look on ebay for another 2nd hand maclaren??????? or shall i be happy with the lightweighness of my current cheap buggy for the tube and sacrifice her comfy nap?! oh decisions decisions! Any general buggy/tube/london advice recommendations appreciated!

Personally I'd go for second hand maclaren off eBay! The M&P one is not as nice to push as a maclaren and is not made as well. I had a maclaren volo from DS which I was going to use for DD-this doesn't recline though and she still naps. I've bought a maclaren quest for days out. It's reclines but still folds up small and is very lightweight. Nothing like a screaming overtired toddler to ruin a day out!

dozensofpichu. I took your advice. I now have a second hand maclaren off ebay and feel like ive 'come home'! Breathed a sigh of relief to be pushing something of such good quality again. Nice one for that! ;)
