Camber sands hotels by the beach or other seaside resorts up to 3 hours from London?

Very tempted by The Gallivant hotel at Camber Sands but fully booked so need some suggestions please! Park resorts have availability but looking for a bit more upmarket by the beach... We could head further to Devon but overwhelmed with where to book! Not Brighton as want to try somewhere new! Any ideas much appreciated, thanks

Knoll House in Dorset is really good.

The Suffolk and Norfolk coasts are nice. Lots of little villages, things to do inland and easy to get to from London. Aldeburgh and Southwold are lovely. Just don't tell anyone I told you, because then we'll have everybody up. Bluddy tourists.
