Keycamps/siblu or other?

So after scouring the internet for a holiday in Cornwall or flying to an unknown hotel and being put off by the £2k+ pricetag for a family of 4 I am now thinking about Siblu/Keycamp etc but having no experience I don;t know which one is better quality/value etc? We would want to go to one in the Vendee area as its not to hard to drive to but far enough south to get some sun!
Ideally we would want to be near the beach too!
Please can someone help?? (slightly desperate Mummy of 2!)

For this summer? I do keep getting special late offer emails from various companies.

We have used Keycamp (Brittany 2008) and Thomson Al Fresco (Vilanova Park, Spain, 2009).

Both were fine, pricey but we booked the largest, there are five of is.

Try Europarc and French Freedom. They are smaller companies, but tend to be better value.

Havent used one in the Vendee but there are loads of sites in that area. You could also

Grr...

Book directly with campsites too. Check out review sites for each campsite to see what would suit.

In recent years we have rented houses rather than using campsites, as we end up paying about the same and like the privacy.

We have just come back from a keycamp holiday last week.

(we did it through sun holidays so paid £169 for accomodation rather than £800 if we had booked the same direct)

We stayed in Brittany (Point st gilles)
The kids clubs were great, but ONLY avaliable to euro camp / key camp. (not canvus holidays / matthew holidays or sunelia that also had rentals on the site)

1 thing i would say is that we were very very crammed in

eurocamp / keycamp / canvus holidays were all together crammed in like sardines... the others gave more a bit more space around, but no access to kids clubs

overall i would return to the site again, and would use keycamp

they also provide baby equipment for free, where as others charge

I have just this afternoon - emails from two companies with late availability. Look a bit of abargain to me.

Try this one french freedom

And try europarcs too. I don't have their website name to hand but they have offers on.

We are looking at something similar at the moment.

Last yr we travelled with Venue holidays, which are a budget company. We had a brilliant time in Brittany with plenty of space around us.

This year we have had a quotes from Keycamp & Venue for £1400 for 10 nights in brittany including ferry travel for 5 of us. We will have a smaller mobile home if we go with keycamp, but will have the positive of the kids clubs.

Hopefully going to book by tomorrow.

Thank you all... we found lots of lovely sites but all the ferries going on or around the dates we could go were booked up : ( and it was too far too drive to the tunnel and then on 7 hours froom Calais with two children just for a week... However I have just got a cancellation at a lovely hotel in Cornwall that we have stayed in before so all is not lost, just hopingfor the sun to stay!
