Heading there this week but have not had much time to research. Is the site ok? Never been on a Siblu holiday before and worried it might be really busy/noisy in July.

Also any tips on what to do in the area would be welcomed.

We have been there and enjoyed it. We were there in early August and it was fine. Many of the plots are privately owned so not occupied all the time. All the facilities were available, but it was easy enough to get space in the children's club, evening entertainment and laundry room.

The local are is lovely if you want to go offsite. The pool are in the campsite is excellent, as are other sports facilities, but there are many beaches within a 30 minute drive (nearest 5 minutes). There is a perfectly serviceable supermarket in the village, and a hypermarket 15 minutes away. The main city in the area, Quimper, is a good day out - perhaps after visiting a surfing beach on the Atlantic coast.

oh thanks claire sounds lovely. I am relieved to hear the site is ok - we are there for 10 nights and have never stayed at siblu before so was needing to hear a good review Smile.

We hadn't been there before either, so it was unknown for us too.

How old are your children?

That's the age of my youngest two when we were there.

We used the children's club, which operated in the mornings. They enjoyed it, and the subsequent Rory the Tiger show.

With that age children, you won't feel tied to the evening entertainment, unless you want to go yourselves. I think when we were there we took the youngest ones out 2 or 3 nights. I was quite happy to stay in the other evenings while DH took the older ones out.

There are lots of little toddler playgrounds around the site so you don't have to always go to the centre. The pool area has great toddler attractions - lots of sprays and ankle deep water. You can let them play without worrying too much. They will love it. And if they are happy, you will be happy :)

Claire thanks for posting - it sounds ideal, especially things like the ankle deep water. I am looking forward to it a lot more now Smile.
