... sorry this is a rant... dd and I wanted to go to Cardiff or London today by train. leaving about 10. Usually the journeys take about 1hr 20 mins from us. I don't drive. Since Xmas because of work on the lines the weekend services have been buses and they are STILL buses... it has messed up several weekends for me since Xmas. Everywhere takes so much longer adding another hour (at least) to journey times....... am just really peed off as I have to be back for ds return by six so if we go to Cardiff, for example, we will get 3hrs 30 minutes there before we have to return home!

Rant over... and don't feel any better :(

The train service is really crp on a Sunday, mind you it's pretty crp on a weekday as well.
I live in Cardiff and can't get a train from my station,into town until 13:16 on a Sunday.
They are every 15 minutes on a weekday.
I tried a day trip to Swansea with the boys,to see the new museum, a few months ago.We had a nightmare journey and a trip that should have taken an 1hr took 2.5hrs.
Should have heard me RANT that day.

When I lived just outside of Cardiff (8 years ago) the public transport system was brill. I just find it so depressing. No wonder everyone has cars!
