Oyster card ? Can I get my money back if i dont use it all ?

I only want to make a couple of short journeys2 days a apart. Its £2.10 each way on oyster card. The minimum i can pay for the card is £13 - £10 + £3 deposit. So can I get my £9.80 back ?

Is it £10 to buy an oyster card these days???? Rip off!!

I have a couple knocking around somewhere in the house.
