We are off to Denmark in the middle of August, we have 2 days legoland sorted but where else would people recommend? We would have 2/3 days after legoland to fill before travelling home. My 2 boys are 9 & 11. Thanks

Oooh. We did Denmark, camping, a couple of times when we were kids.
Depends how far you're willing to travel, or whether you have accommodation booked. We liked the Aarhus area - quite a lot to do and see, and probably less than a couple of hours drive from Billund.

Have a look at the museum (Where Grauballe man - buried in the bog is kept), the cathedral/town centre, etc, and a pretty good restored old town Den Gamle By.

Things I remember us enjoying were the Sommerlands - big adventure parks for kids (and adults - well, my parents joined in). There were always bits with bikes, boats, archery, etc.

Djurs Sommerland is near-ish to Aarhus, and I see that in the 20 years since we were last there, it's been massively extended to include rides and an aquapark - Djurs Sommerland

thanks for the suggestions, since I posted we have booked to stay in Silkeborg, which is not to far from Aarhus.
