Looking for a new car now baby no 4 is on the way (bit sooner than was planned)Shock Currently have a 5 yo, 4 yo and 8 mo. All are obviously still in car seats and I will need to fit my double mountain buggy in the back. Any suggestions on best solutions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Don't bother with a Zafira then, enough seats, but not the boot space. Chrysler do something huge - is it a voyager? or grand voyager?

I'll look into that - thanks.
Did have a Multipla which the garage has just written off following a tiny bump Angry - its got 3 seats in the front 3 in the back and an ok sized boot. The airbags in the front can be locked off with the key. One of the boys is joined at the hip with his wee friend so was thinking a 7 seater would be better - but maybe not!

we have the ford galaxy. we take out one of the back seats and there is plenty of room for ds special needs pushchair and all the other stuff we need for him

sorry, what is a wean?

starlover · 05/03/2006 20:05

it's a bit of a bus... but a lady i worked for who had 6 kids had the VW caravelle... massive boot, she could fit a big 3 wheeler in it without folding!

A wean is a child

Zafira is ok, if you don't use all 7 seats. But no, the boot is not massive, I would take your mountain buggy to showrooms, and try the boot out. We did and they were more than happy to help.

peugeot 807/citroen c8/fiat ulyses all same car, all good & big. problem with the grand voyager, which Has put me off is that there are only 2 seats in middle & 3in the back, whereas with 807, it's 3 in the middle & 2 in the back, so with 3 kids in the middle seats, you can have an absolutely enormous boot if you don't use the back seat, or still a very big boot space using the 3 middle & only 1 back seat. The chrysler grand voyager, you would be forced to use the 3 at the back, so would only have a very small boot space.

plus you can disable the passenger airbag in the peugeot, should you want/need to puta little one in the front, not sure if you can with the chrysler. plus the diesel engine is better in the peugeot, confirmed by chrysler dealer.

our neighbour's just got one of \link{http://www.syukcars.co.uk/cars/rodius/rodius_gallery.htm\these} and seems very happy with it. But it doesn't have the fantastic slidey doors that the peugeot has.
