Fort lauderdale with 18mo?

Hi, we're thinking about going to fort lauderdale in Oct and wondered if anyone has been. Any recommendations/suggestions? Thanks!

Fort Lauderdale is a nice town to visit; its a couple of miles distance though between the town itself and the beach areas.

Hi, we're thinking of going late oct for 10days. The grandparents will be coming too so maybe we can have a day or two child free too. The hotel we've chosen is right on the beach but is it easy to travel to the town? Is the area child friendly? All help much appreciated.

Las Olas Blvd is a nice shopping street in Fort Lauderdale. There is a public bus transport system, if you have a car it will be easier to get around. Fort Lauderdale has its own railway station which can take you into Miami.
