Travel Insurance whilst pregnant

Hi, will be 27-31 weeks preg (with DC3) when I will be on holiday in France (driving, no flying involved). Have also posted in the Pregnancy forum, but it may be busier in here!!

Am looking for some travel insurance that will cover myself but also the newborn, should it be born early (hopefully not!!).. DC1 was 6 weeks early, DC2 1 week late, so this pregnancy is being treated as totally normal. I do need to check the terms of my current insurance, but someone mentioned that normal travel insurance only covers the mother and that it would be wise to get some that would also cover the possibility of a newborn.

Can anyone suggest companies that offer cover for the baby as well as the mother please? TIA

I asked about this while travelling while pregnant. If your doctor says you are OK to travel then your normal travel insurance is sufficient - they are not allowed to discriminate against you (I am in the UK) and have to cover you. The person I spoke to sounded a little upset I had asked - I guess its easier for them if they dont know and cant be accused of anything.
