Hello: any advice, suggestions and recommendations for a days entertainment in/neat Guildford next Friday, please. Looked at popping over to Legoland, but budget is too tight. Like the idea of visiting an RHS garden, or shops too! Kids are 9-14. Anything we must must do? Many thanks.

If you get a nice day (ha!), Winkworth Arboretum is good for a ramble. Although your kids may find it boring walking around looking at trees Grin

Thanks! I'll cross everything for lovely weather: we're coming to the uk for a wedding. Walks/trees always good: kids respond to bribery, and like the outdoors. Thanks for the suggestions so far: will be checking them out.

Windsor itself is lovely for shops, sights (the castle) etc. Also, if the weather hold up, Windsor Great Park (Virginia Waters) is gorgeous.

Guildford itself is lovely, good shopping, and the castle is nice.

The Look Out Discovery Center (Bracknell) is great, as is the free nature palyground and the surrounding forest. Just over the road (literally) is Coral Reef, a waterworld, although it does get very busy.

There's the Spectrum leisure centre and water park just outside Guildford, and an Odean cinema near the station +
loads of stunning countryside... Wisley gardens are v nice...
