Yikes, don't have the time right now but we have stayed at several Gites de France properties in Normandy, all good. Later today I'll try and find the gite reference numbers & post again.

My rule of thumb is book one with 3 "ears of corn" or above (sadly nver found a 4 ears one) and have never been disapointed.

The one we have always hankered to return to is in Calvados, Gite No. 1185. However it has a large pond/small lake so only suitable for older children.

Stayed inland from Omaha beach at Gite 1666 which was great except for very steep open staircase. It was fine for ds (2) with supervision but not so good for MIL! Next door were gites 1164 & 1165 without steep stairs which would be ideal. All 3 open on to a massive area of open grass with a swing and loads of space for children to run. Very peaceful.

Have also been looking for a baby friendly gite we stayed in (pre ds) near Edmondeville on the Cotentin Penninsula. Can't find it but its lurking somewhere.

Thats it for now Grin.

I knew I had missed one, gite no. 395 in the Eure region of Normandy, east of Rouen. Lovely area, really enjoyed it.
