London Eye. We went on at sunset which was fab. Definitely prebook though

Mum2Ela · 02/03/2006 09:59

Ooh, will do the London Eye. Might have a look now for a website.

hurrah! Where are you staying?

Mum2Ela · 02/03/2006 10:13

We are staying at the Victoris Park Plaza, Executive room, and executive lounge.

Don't want to completely pack the whole weekend with stuff to do, but would like to see a musical on Fri night, go to Tate Modern Staurday and also do the London Eye Saturday.

Does anyone know any good restuarants in an area ehere there are some bars?

there's a bar near tate nodern, just off southwark bridge, at river level, called zakudia, with views down the thames .. meant to be nice for sunset .. also places to eat around there ..

So let me see if I have got this straight ??

You are going to London at the end of March, and Dublin in June. Methinks you are just bragging. Grin

Mum2Ela · 02/03/2006 13:29

Thanks for that. Have had a look at the website and have also applied for a passport-thingy so I can get 20% off there, we do like a bargain!

you could stroll along the south bank (from tate modern, with the london eye behind you, ie eastwards) to borough market..dh & me had lunch in a restaurant there called Roast that was absolutely lovely..about £18 for a 2 course set menu..though our glass of fizz pushed up the bill a bit...
