Jersey

Can anyone offer any advise on Jersey?

We have never taken the kids abroad but hoping to try Jersey next year.

They are 10 and 6 and love the beach but no idea where the best parts of Jersey are.

Also would we need passports to fly there?

Thanks

No you don't need a passport although you will probably need ID for the plane if you fly. I've been twice for a short break and the second time we stayed at the Merton (famous "family hotel") which is near (10 min walk) the beach at Havre des Pas. This is a nice enough wide sandy beach and has a beach shack for food and a natural saltwater pool.
It's a lovely place for children, fantastic castles and a couple of interesting places. You can get everywhere by bus and they have colour coded bus lines to make them idiot proof. However I don't think we had enough time to find a really amazing beach although there are loads apparently.
