We are going for a week to a lovely place in France, about an hour's drive inland from Biarritz. Getting the Chunnel because we cannot stand the ferry and it's a 2 day drive down, realistically. I was thinking of simply calculating where is roughly halfway and booking us a room in the nearest Etap, but thought I would see if anyone was aware of anywhere especially nice where it might be worth breaking our journey for more reasons than just to have a rest?
