Insect Repellant Bands

DS has horrid reactions to mosquito bites. We're off camping in France in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if these insect repellant bands are any good? We already use a spray and his suntan cream and after sun have mosquito repellant in them.

Some bands only last four days. I think I'd use them at night as this is when he seems to get bitten the worst, so I might get a week out of them.

Are there any that anyone would recommend?

I think they are a waste of money. OH is a biting insect magnet and also has horrible reactions to bites. He has to cover himself in insect repellant and if he misses one square inch of skin he gets bitten on the bit he has missed.

Sorry, not what you wanted to hear.

Thanks for your response. I guessed as much. I know some people swear by them, and to be honest I'm willing to try anything!

Your poor DS. It's horrible isn't it? Have got lots of repellant and just been to pick up prescription for some steroid cream as the swelling he gets from them is horrific! He already has two types of anti histamines for his food allergies do I nuke him with them and the steroid cream brings down the swelling and the itching. Sad
