Car hire from Gerona/Girona airport

My friend and I have booked to take our 4 children (between us ) on a keycamp hol in May. The flights are great and we can go from our regional airport if we arrange our own transfers.

Does anyone have any idea how long it will take us to drive from the airport to Salou and if there is more than one Girona or just 2 spellings! We need to hire a MPV with 4 car seats so would be grateful if anyone could recommend a reliable company that uses decent seats

My sister lives in Girona and I've hired cars from the airport there a couple of times - from memory it is Hertz, AVis and Europcar there so all pretty reputable.

sorry, not sure how long it will take you to get to Salou, but the airport is v near the motorway so connections should be pretty quick. It is the same place with 2 spellings btw.

We have used \link{http://www.all-inclusive-car-hire.com/gerona/index.php?ln=en&rf=999999\this lot} twice now and been pleased with them. In Malaga they have a desk inside the terminal, it says that at Gerona you are met in the terminal and escorted to the car.

Oh - I don't know about decent seats though. They do supply them, at 2 euros per day per seat, but no idea how good they would be.
