Recommend a nice beach town/village near Barcelona please?

We had a lovely stay in Valencia last year but I'm looking for a nice beach resort near Barcelona for this year. A quiet place, but with restaurants etc and lovely beach would be ideal. Thanks.

Cambrils or Cartagena would be my vote.Avoid Salou like the plague if you want quiet.Cambrils is near Salou but prettier and has lovely restaurants etc. Its not far from Port Aventura either. :)

Sitges is lovely, very picturesque and very close to Barca.

Much quieter than many Spanish resorts. Can't comment on hotels.

Another vote for Sitges. It has a graet beach and some lovely places to eat. Only a short train ride into Barcelona. Wish I was going!

Would also say Sitges...lovely beach, close to airport, arty and cosmopolitan.

Yes agree with Cadaques. Aiguablava is nice as is Sa Tuna and Tamariu.
