Never taken dd abroad (8) as we usually go camping in the uk as I am a teacher and cant afford it. I would really like to take her somewhere abroad sometime in the first two week of the holidays abroad. Has to be cheap and doesnt really matter how long we go for. Any suggestions?

We have a tent and all the equipment so could drive to france and camp. How do I go about this??

The cheapest crossings to France are Dover Calais. If you have Tesco vouchers you can use them to get tunnel tickets.

There are loads of campsites in France. To get the cheapest ones stay inland rather than right on the coast. Also look at the star rating. If money is an issue stay away from the 5 sites and go for the 3 and 4* places instead. The star rating includes things like entertainment so the quality of the site itself doesn't necessarlily change.
