October half term

Was chatting to mu mum earlier today and she has suggested we all (me, dh, 2 x dds her and dad) go away for the October half term, however we have no money, she has offered to give us £2k. Is there anywhere we can go that's not too long a flight (no good for dad) but definitely hot? We can add another £200 maybe but not really anymore. Would love to take the kids away with gps but trying to find somewhere cheap and hot in half term is impossible!

Canary Isles will be warm, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura. All between 4hr 10min to 4hr 20min flights. You might be able to get an all inc. 4* for the 6 of you which would pay food costs, to help you budget.

Cyprus; flight approx. 4hr 20min, still warm during the day but need a cardi in the evening. More expensive generally.

It depends what you want accommodation wise and whether you are prepared to self cater, whether you want to be close enough to a beach to walk there, what amenities you want for the DC, and also for the GP's i.e. not a hotel which poses mobility difficulties if this is likely to be a problem.

You can ask for a travel agent to cost out a few options so that you get the final total with all the taxes, insurance, additions, deductions and so on included, and see how they compare.

Agidar in Morrocco is about 4 hour flight and should be warm, might get a bit more for your money than Canaries, I went March years ago when single and came back with a very deep tan!

Try the Rubicon Palace in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. It was beautiful there.
