How much spending money to take when going All Inclusive.

FIrst holiday abroad since Ds2 born. Having week in Ibiza at an A.I. Hotel with own waterpark. Worried about going a bit stir crazy so want option of being able to explore a little but don't want to have to budget fo too much extra spending money. Going for 1 week with DP, DS1,aged 9 and DS 2 aged 5.

Hi sounds like we may be going to same place!! (hint - its all greek to me!) Never been to Ibiza AI but often go to Canaries - We have gone AI since DD was 3 - now 9 - and we decided that we would not spend unnecessarily as AI should be adequate for all our needs. DD and DH know that all drinks icecreams snacks etc WILL come from the hotel and we DON't go to other bars etc when our hotel is free (Ok occasionally we do!) Some people go AI then spend extra money on branded drinks - I say if you don't like say the beer on AI then work your way through the drinks menu til you find something that appeals! by the 3rd drink you'll be fine! We usually take about 150 euros cash and I have my credit card for big spends ie Excursions or emergencies! Even if you ran out of money at least you know you'll be fed and watered til end of holiday! Roll on the end of August!
