Majorca- will there be a supermarket open Sat eve or Sunday daytime? Pollensa.

We will be staying in a villa 2 or 3 kms from Pollensa, (7-8kms from Puerto Pollensa). We arrive mid evening on a Saturday.

Will there be a supermarket open either on that Saturday night or on Sunday to get supplies?

We were there a few years ago,there is a supermarket on the road between Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa which I am fairly certain was open on Sunday morning.There is also a very good Sunday market in the square in Pollensa

possibly this one but either it doesn't post its opening times or my Spanish is really rubbish (I had to ask DS1 if it actually was in Spanish or Catalan .)

I know that Pollensa observes traditional siesta and shops close in the afternoon except restaurants. We used to go over from PP in the morning and go back in the afternoon.

I don't know about out of town supermarkets. sorry.

I remember the one Erebus mentioned and there is also one in Can Picafort, same chain, which opens Sunday mornings (at least last year May).

Do you drive from Palma? There is a large supermarket outside Palma on the motorway towards PP and that is open Saturday evening, I think until 8pm.

There is also a Lidl somewhere around PP and that is def. open on Sundays
