no idea about deals but can strongly reccomend puerto pollensa.lovely place and great beach for children.

Majorca is a family friendly destination. You will be OVERWHELMED with choice.

What sort of thing do you want? Do you want quiet? Do you want childcare so you can get out too? Beaches aren't a problem as there are a lot of nice beaches there.

As you're going outside of school holidays, there should be some good deals out there for you

Hi, sorry to jump in on the thread but we are also looking to go to majorca, Puerto Pollensa, in June, We have a 4 and 2 yr old. Is it best to stay near the Pine Walk area and could anyone recommend an apartment? Thanks

LIZS · 26/02/2006 21:31

Don't recall the Pine Walk area particularly when we drove through, but stay close to the town itself unless you are prepared to drive to a beach. The beach opposite the Pollentia Club Resort, which is a fair way out of town, is very narrow and not all that nice. We stayed south/east of Alcudia and the beach there was long and wide, with the sea bed gently shelving.

Pine walk area is nice, but beach is quite small. We stayed the other side, can't remember what the area is called now. We booked apt with a company called diamond holidays, who were great if you like diy, not package (and no kids clubs). Was great though. We also went in June & kids were about the same age as yours jenthehen

Several villas and apartments.
They do a brochure

Area we stopped in is 'el pinaret' which is about a 15 mins (max) walk from the centre, and 5 mins (max) to beach. Tends to be a bit quieter than the pine walk area

i can reccomend the hobby club apartments.basic but clean and nice and directly opposite a wide sandy beach.about 15 min walk up to the pinewalk which is where all the restaraunts/bars/shops etc are.nice pool too but no kids clubs though.
