Honeymoon in sept with 9mo DD - where?

Any suggestions for a honeymoon destination in September with a 9 month old baby?!

We've travelled a lot pre-DD, mostly backpacking or independently (ie not packages) but now with DD the dynamics are so different we don't really know where to begin!! Plus September seems to be bloody hurricane or rainy season....

OH wants to relax, so we want to chill. Happy to have DD with us but would be great if we could nip off for the odd evening or go diving for an afternoon or two...

Perhaps Europe is a better bet???

I wouldn't take your newborn to the third world, not even if she's still breastfed. It's a long way and not cheap to get there, but what about Queensland (Cairns, Whitsundays, Fraser Island, Sunshine Coast)? September is early spring, so it will be a little bit less hot than the rest of the year...and no monsoon to worry about.

FWIW we flew to Oz when DS was 8 months and he was totally fine with the long-haul flight.

What about the Red Sea? Have never been but I know you can do dive holidays with inbuilt childcare. The problem otherwise being that the two of you can't dive together as one of you is onshore watching the infant.

Or Morrocco - interesting, close to home, warm....

Thanks for the quick replies!

We moved back to the uk from oz last year so not so keen on that... Also wasn't really considering third world countries either but surely Thailand/Malaysia etc aren't third world anyway???

Egypt could be good though I'd thought perhaps it would be far too hot in sept?? And maybe risky hygiene-wise?

Btw - DD is still BF now but whether she will be in sept is a different matter!!

Hygeine-wise, Malaysia would be fine; Thailand, you'd have to be careful.

Cyprus?

South of France is lovely! Lovely big promenade in canne so nice for an evening stroll with the baby and not so hot that the baby will be miserable! You can also get the train round the coast to monaco really easily. Alternatively Italy is very child friendly too.

Costa Rica?
Croatia?
Bali?
Brazil?
Friends of ours have taken their baby to Mauritius several times and have had a great time.
