Can a high backed booster seat go in a front seat with an air bag?

I've found this site www.childcarseats.org.uk/types/index.htm which implies that they can but they are safer in the back.

Small children really shouldn't go in the front with an airbag - even with the seat pushed right back it's risky.

Airbags deploy at c.200mph

not nless airbags are turned off .. because they can kill a child

"unless there is no other choice" is the key thing. And depends on the car.

Airbags kill small adults pretty regularly. They're not at all safe for small people of any age.
