I am bringing my grandchildren to visit Worthing on Saturday. What would you recommend we do for the day? We will be spending quite a few hours there.

Hideous flashbacks to visits to grandparents thirty years ago. There was NOTHING for kids!

Thank you DrSeuss.

You're welcome. Do you know what they say about Worthing? "In Brighton they bury the dead, in Hove they cremate them, in Worthing they get them up and walk them around"!

Ha! DrSuess! I'd not heard that. That's really cheered me up :)

Errmmm. Worthing? Nope. Can't think of anything!

Every summer as a kid we were dragged off for a few days in Worthing. Bored out of our trees. Good job DB and I like reading. Have not been since Gran died twenty years ago and do not plan to. Brighton is lovely, Littlehampton was nice, I remember, and at least had sand rather than the gravel at Worthing.

Beach, good playground in shape of pirate ship, fish and chips, ice cream, bike hire on front, nice new cafe called munch open in the arcade.
Littlehampton better with fun park, rides, crabbing, mini golf..Oscars for fish and chips, lifeboats, look and see centre
High down gardens fab for a run around.
Walking along the sea front from goring to Worthing , good flat path for scooters.
I am biased as lived there very happily and grandparents still do!
The tackiness is part of its charm.
