Need ideas of where to go for a few days enroute to East Anglia from Bristol

We are you going to Bristol for three nights and we want to stop somewhere on the way back. Any ideas?

Are you going A303 way south to Bristol or A14 north and then west to Bristol. Where abouts in East Anglia are you roughly going back to (county)

If going A303, you could stop off at the New Forest for a few days.
If going west via B'rum way, you could stop off in Warwick area/Cotswolds and then, if you have time, take the Fosse Way for a bit.
