am thinking about next years holiday

our dd will be between 17 / 21 months ish..... fingers crossed i might be pg with #2
(we will aim to go when i am 20 / 30 weeks pg if it happens)

has anyone been anywhere nice?
our first though would be an all inclusive hotel with things for dd.... nice and warm, beach close by

we could be pursaded by a villa etc if there were nice places to eat close by and we has access to a pool

or maybe an apartment?

if you have been anywhere that was partcularly toddler friendly i would love to know.

somewhere i dont have to cook, and the 3 of us can relax / have fun in the sunshine.

we would like a few trips out (not spend the whole entire week playing in the same pool)

I have looked in to a villa in portugal that was recommended as being very child friendly- I'll post the info later.

Porto Santo Little Portuguese island next door to Madeira. Very quiet, beautiful beaches, lots of calm bars and restaurants to eat out.

I have been been an 18mo when I was 26/28 weeks pregnant and it was great, we travelled in September and it was warm enough for bikinis on the beach but not too hot.

I would love to go again. There is a parrot place you can visit, various Columbus related things, we were there for a festival that was amazing, and they have Volleyball championships (!!bonkers)

We went to Portugal - Praia da Rocha in Algarve. I wouldn't recommend our hotel but lovely beaches there. It was October during term time and weather was great - not too hot and still warm in evening.
We had a 2 1/2 year old and I was 6 months pg and there were loads of places to eat out along the sea front, a little train and playgrounds. We went on two trips - to a water park and sea life centre/zoo. I would def recommend it, although quite a long transfer from airport.
Good luck!

We went to Praia de Luz when my eldest was 8 months old and liked it. It has become a lot more developed since we were there nearly 11 years ago but friends said it is still very nice. Good beach and lots of local restaurants you can walk to. We went in a villa then so can't recommend anywhere specific but there is loads of choice on the main villa letting websites (SIL goes there a lot and loves it).

It is right next to a bigger town called Lagos which is lovely - good restaurants, a bit of history and nice to walk around.

There are also easy day trips you can do from there to Sagres fort and other places.

I also think there are a lot more things for kids to do now there - aquarium, zoo etc.
