Passport photos need to be redone - do I have to get countersigned again?

DD's passport photos (first passport) have been sent back. Too light apparently. Like I had any control over that. So much for check and send.

So, apart from having to get more photos taken somewhere else, god knows where, do I have to get the new ones countersigned again? Looked at the guidance on the website and nothing says. The letter they sent back doesn't say.

V. pissed off, as I did all do it in plenty of time but it is now going to be a stressful wait.

Normally I believe they will need to be signed again. Passport office incredibly particular.
I think you can pay a small fee to get it checked in the post office before you send off your application.

Yes, they'll need countersigning. I'd agree about using the post office's check and send service. It's about #8

Thanks, that does kind of make sense, but a shame as it delays the whole thing by another two/three days, cos I won't see my countersigning friend til fri evening. Oh b***.

I did do check and send at the post office! They said the photo was ok Sad.

Downy you can ask for a refund if a mistake has been made.

yes they need to be countersigned. You can claim back the check and send money from the post office.

p.s. I used the paspic website for ds's passport. Took photos with a digital camera on a light background, uploaded it to paspic and then they sent passport compliant photos back within a couple of days

oooh Seona - thanks for this link!!!

Maybe post office woman was too busy trying to sell me:
a) travel insurance
b) euros
c) post office credit card
to concentrate on the pictures!

Twice! (why am I so nice?).
