I just got back from my holiday - the Costa de la Luz in Spain. It was very lovely and very hot.

Thegoddessblossom · 18/06/2012 21:30

Crete. 2 weeks in a villa, august. Can't bloody wait.

(the poetry thread is one of the nicest I have read in ages btw if you are looking for nice ones)

LittenTree · 18/06/2012 21:30

MaJorca! Villa for the first time! yay!

Have already been to Iceland 3 weeks ago, though, which was fab.

Fluffy1234 · 18/06/2012 21:51

I went to Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay at Easter. During the six weeks school holidays I am going on a Mediteranian cruise.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 18/06/2012 21:53

Spain, Mojacar in August with DH, DD and her boyfriend. Sadly DS will not be joining us though.

London, the week before the olympics Hmm worried it might be a bit of a nightmare. We are going to see family who live there and that is the only week that we can all be together due to work commitments etc. I'm really hoping that the run up to the olympics won't interfere too much with our week there.

Have been back from a fortnight in Pefkos, Rhodes for about 10 days. We stayed at the Island Blue hotel. Actually, it is more flexible because you choose the type of board S/C, B&B, H/B etc, and some of the rooms have all the S/C equipment that you need. Very good for young DC. Pefkos is a lovely resort, nice beach, good restaurants, friendly people, we had a really good relaxing time. Until we came home to Wet, Cold England.

SooticaTheWitchesCat · 19/06/2012 11:31

We are going to Italy, we are renting an apartment in a farmhouse in Tuscany. It is completely different from what we normally do, we usually have a beach holiday in Turkey but fancied a change this year Smile

perceptionreality · 19/06/2012 12:28

I went to Pefkos with my parents when I was about 12 :) - I remember it being very hot.

This year I'm going to Tenerife - have never been to any of the canary islands before. I wanted to choose somewhere the weather would be likely to be good.

Holiday? Hahaha! I'd need a month to recover from it, afterwards!

MirandaWest · 19/06/2012 12:33

Going to Northumberland for a week with DS and DD in August.

Going to the isle of man for a few nights at end of August/beginning of September.

And may be going on a long weekend somewhere in Europe at some point with BF :)

LadySucre · 19/06/2012 12:35

Am still trying to find something. Every few days I will sit down at the computer and trawl through the holidays, trying to get one which fits around everything bloody else, and within our price range!

But it will be Italy more than likely.

Housewifefromheaven · 19/06/2012 12:52

Ibiza two weeks august. Turkey one week September :o

GnomeDePlume · 19/06/2012 13:37

We are staying here. It will be the last big holiday with DD1 as next year she will be nearly 18.

We are really looking forward to it as the site is small and it is close to all the things we want to see. It seems to be very popular as we had to book last autumn to secure our place.

Ordered the motorway tag thingy at the weekend. Got to book the cat into kitty prison, the rats are already booked into ratty Strangeways.

DH is planning the route using google earth to check which petrol stops are nice or nasty! I cant help but feel we over plan things!

girlywhirly · 19/06/2012 13:48

Ah yes, the kitty prison! Ours is extremely affectionate since we got back!

Portofino · 19/06/2012 14:01

We are off in about 10 days time (yay!) for 2 weeks in the Dordogne, followed by a week in the Loire. On a gite complex with shared pool in both cases. I can't wait! It better not bloody rain!

Grannylipstick · 19/06/2012 22:15

I am going to stay in a beautiful apartment in torcross near Salcome. Sits right on the waters edge

fridayschild · 19/06/2012 22:23

We are doing a road tour of the UK in a hired camper van to catch up with old friends.

And while I do not want to hijack a nice thread, if anyone would like to recommend a company I can rent this van from, please can they proceed in an orderly manner to my thread in the camping topic Smile

Hulababy · 19/06/2012 22:26

We went to Feurteventura for a week in February. Was lovely, very relaxing - all inc so very different to our normal holiday.

Off to France for a fortnight at the end of July with PILs. Going to DLP for 3 nights, an auberge near Tours for 4 nights and then a week in a villa near Biarritz.

Hoping to go somewhere for October half term with friends but not decided where/what as yet.

Pascha · 19/06/2012 22:26

Somerset. I live the high life, me.

sailorsgal · 20/06/2012 13:32

We are going to a Sensatori resort on Crete. You will find me by the pool with a good book and a pina colada in hand for the whole time we are there. No sightseeing or anything. Grin

Shakey1500 · 20/06/2012 13:35

Corfu for 2 weeks July30th Grin

Big family holiday with me, Dh, Ds (4), nanna, grandad, Dsis, Dbil, niece and her boyfriend.

Is it too selfish to think that Dh and I may get a night to ourselves to get rat arsed? Wink
