Hi

DH and I have been to Florida (ie Disney etc) loads of times just the 2 of us, but this year we will have our ds with us, he will be just coming up to 13 months old.

Has anyone been with a child that sort of age? Do they get anything from it at all?

Also how the rudd do you keep a 13 month old entertained on an 8 hour flight? He will be crawling, may be walking, and obviously won't be able to 'play' as such, or watch anything, but will need entertaining. How?? I find it hard enough at home now with all his toys around Smile

Thank you!

Hi, I've also been to Disney loads of times over the past 20 years and on many occasions have had a baby/toddler.

Obviously DS won't remember anything but I'm sure he will love the noise and bright colours in some of the parks. In Magic Kingdom there are quite a few rides that you could take him on on your lap. I knew there was a reason they haven't got rid of that 'its a small world' ride.

On the flight hopefully he will have a bit of a nap on the way out (normally day time flights out) and if you are lucky, will sleep most of the way back. Just make sure you take enough milk/formula (order and buy airside if needs be) and take some of his favourite toys.

Are you going hotel or villa?

If villa I can recommend Loyalty Homes who manage luxury homes within 4 miles of Disney many of which have baby equipment. www.loyaltyusa.com

one of their villas is this one www.ownersdirect.co.uk/usa/f1895.htm which definitely has a cot, high chair and baby stroller in the villa.

Hi Tory,
I know where your comming from we took the kids last year to Florida Orlando Disney and our youngest was 16 months old. We flew with Virgin and they were fantastic. Remember ya 5 Ps Proper preperation prevents poor performance, plenty of toys, prepared food, nappies and evan a helpful dad. We were lucky to get a night flight and ours slept most of the way.
As for where to stay we always book through www.Ownersrentals.com website they are just perfect for us especially if your looking to book somewhere in florida. Here the link to where we find our holiday rentals in Florida with them www.ownersrentals.com/search/NorthAmerica/United_States/Florida_Orlando-Disney.html
Good Luck Holly
